Essential Guide: Cycling in Dublin

There has been significant investment into Dublin’s cycle routes and networks, with more to come over the next couple of years. To explore your options, take a look at the links below:

Central Park

For local routes around Central Park, see the DLR CoCo cycle map.

At Central Park, there are 156 cycle spaces inside the basement car park available to staff -146 spaces within two swipe card activated cages plus 10 open spaces located on the lower ground floor basement car park directly outside the entrance to Block D.

Next to the cycle storage are changing rooms with lockers and shower facilities.

Please contact the reception desk for more information and to obtain access to these facilities.

Park Place

As part of the overall Park Place development, there are access to modern showers with changing and welfare facilities, along with 340 secure bicycle spaces.

There is a Dublin Bikes hire station positioned outside the building on Hatch Street.

Cycle to Work Scheme

The Bank’s Cycle to Work scheme is an Irish Government-backed, tax-free benefit that lets employees choose a bike and/or accessories, spread the cost of these over for 12 months through salary sacrifice (you do not pay tax, PRSI or USC on these repayments). Employees can select items from any of the 23 Halfords stores across Ireland or one of the 14 independent bike retailers who are confirmed partners – head over to the MyBenefits portal on Flagscape for more information and to apply.
